The Marination of The Eyeballs, Part II

Happy Friday, Foggies!

I’ve decided my followers need a nickname. I debated between Foggies and Foggers, but “Foggers” sounds like a bug spray, so… Foggies it is. Unless one of you comes up with a better name.

Is it too soon for nicknames? Probably. But how many followers does one actually need before handing out pet names? 100? 50? 5? 1? I have no idea—but we’re rolling with it anyway.

Now, on to the very important news you’ve all been patiently waiting for—my dry eye update.

I saw my eye doctor yesterday, and the good news is that my 101-eye-drops-a-day routine is working! The scratches on my right cornea are completely healed. My left cornea still has some abrasions, so I’ll continue marinating my eyeballs for another two weeks.

After that, the doctor will put plugs in my tear ducts. Yup—plugs. In my eyes. Doesn’t that sound like a fun way to spend a summer afternoon?

Apparently, tear ducts drain tears away from your eyes. The plugs keep the moisture in, which should make my eyes less dry. So stay tuned for Part 3 of The Marination of the Eyeballs—guaranteed to be the blockbuster sequel of the season.

Since we’re talking eyes and brains, I should probably explain the title of this blog: Brain Fog & Brilliance.

The short version? I have terrible short-term memory.
The long version? I have terrible short-term memory and brain fog. The combination makes life… interesting.

We often play the game “Where Did I Leave the Clicker?” multiple times a day. My husband will ask, “Where did you have it last?”—which is, frankly, the least helpful question in history. If I knew that, I wouldn’t be searching.

Sometimes, though, brilliance strikes. I solved the remote problem by buying a silicone sleeve with a built-in slot for an AirTag. Now I can track the clicker with my phone. It doesn’t stop me from losing it (at least five times a day), but it makes finding it much quicker.

So there you have it, Foggies—another week, another adventure. Stay tuned and keep your remotes close.

I promise you won’t want to miss Part III of The Marination of the Eyeballs.
I can already hear it: “And now, the stunning conclusion of The Marination of the Eyeballs…”

Brain Fog & Brilliance is filmed before a live studio audience.

⭐ If your eyes have ever rebelled against you, you’re not alone.
Between the drops, the dryness, and the “please don’t get infected again” prayers, this post deserves a sympathy blink.
Hit that ⭐ Like button, follow Brain Fog & Brilliance, and share this with anyone who knows the joy of high-maintenance eyeballs.
Because sometimes healing looks a lot like marinating. 💭
