Welcome to Brain Fog & Brilliance!!

I can’t tell you what this blog will be about, because honestly, I have no idea. The only thing I can promise is that it will always be honest. Mainly because I am always honest. (Often too honest. lol)

But before we get into anything, let me introduce myself. My name is Heather, and I recently turned 50. I’m married with two adult children. I’ve spent years as an education advocate for kids with special needs, but recently I decided to move on and transition into a writing career. I’ve always loved writing, and many people have told me I’m good at it. To apply for writing jobs, I need a resume and samples—so this blog will (hopefully) become my portfolio.

So here we are. I’m still figuring out how long a first blog post should be, and you’re probably wondering where this is going. Truth is—I don’t know where this blog is going. But I can promise it will be fun getting there. Thanks to my (undiagnosed ADHD) brain, I tend to latch onto weird topics that send me down Google rabbit holes. And then, of course, everyone I know hears all about my latest fixation—whether they want to or not.

I like to imagine everyone is thrilled to hear my fun facts. Reality? Probably not. Luckily, we live in the age of Google, or I’d have no idea where to find answers to half the questions that pop into my brain. (Though I do occasionally ask weird questions in public. You’ll probably get to hear those stories too in future posts.)

I think that’s enough for today. I don’t want to overwhelm you with my awesome weirdness on Day One. So check back soon—I’ll have plenty of random topics, stories, and tangents to share.

Welcome to the fog — where curiosity meets chaos and somehow turns into brilliance.
